Are you too nervous to speak in public, or are you a confident speaker? Either way you will be made welcome at Stockport Ladies Speakers Club!

We are keen to encourage and help those who dread the idea of having to speak but need to conquer their fear, whether it be for job presentations or social occasions. Our group has a diverse membership, including students, young professionals, mums and business owners. They travel from all areas of South Manchester, Stockport and Cheshire.

Everyone gets the chance to speak at most meetings in a friendly and supportive environment. There is no pressure to speak until you are ready to do so.

Stockport Ladies Speakers Club is a member of the Association of Speakers Clubs (ASC). This is a national organisation with nearly 100 clubs throughout the UK. The association exists to improve the art of speaking in public and to promote, encourage and develop proficiency in the spoken word.

We visit other ASC clubs for speech competitions and social occasions. This gives us the opportunity to speak to different audiences and make friends within the organisation.

Stockport Ladies are known for their high competition standards, and for being a club that's hard to beat!

Come and join us during any club nights without any obligation and see if this something for you before you decide to become a member. We meet twice a month on Wednesdays, from 7.30pm at the Deanwater Hotel in Woodford on Wilmslow Rd, Stockport SK7 1RJ.
